  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon for coating.
  7. Roll the dough into balls, then roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  8. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and flatten slightly.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
  10. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
