- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 3 1/2 to 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk (for icing)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- In a bowl, combine pumpkin puree, milk, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Stir in yeast and let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and 3 cups of flour to the bowl. Mix well until a sticky dough forms.
- Gradually incorporate the remaining flour, kneading until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough and spread butter, sugar, and cinnamon on top.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut into rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for icing, then drizzle over warm rolls.
