- 9 sheets lasagna noodles
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 pound ground beef or turkey
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add ground beef or turkey to the skillet and cook until browned. Stir in tomato sauce, oregano, black pepper, and parsley.
- In a large baking dish, layer the ingredients: start with a layer of meat sauce, then place 3 lasagna noodles, followed by a layer of ricotta and mozzarella cheeses. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of mozzarella on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add crushed red pepper flakes to the meat sauce.
- You can substitute ground meat with vegetables for a vegetarian option.
