Fudgy Cream Cheese Brownies

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 large eggs
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix cocoa powder, sugar, flour, salt, and baking powder.
  3. Add melted butter and eggs to the dry ingredients, mixing until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat softened cream cheese with vanilla until smooth.
  5. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, then add dollops of cream cheese mixture, followed by the remaining brownie batter.
  6. Swirl the cream cheese mixture with a knife for a marbled effect.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Let cool before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • For extra fudginess, do not overbake.
