Creamy Garlic Parmesan Tortellini with Sausage and Broccoli

  • 12 ounces cheese tortellini
  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the tortellini according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned; drain excess fat.
  3. Add broccoli and garlic to the skillet, cooking until broccoli is tender.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  5. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and return to a simmer until thickened.
  6. Add the cooked tortellini to the skillet, mixing gently to combine.
  7. Season with salt and pepper, then serve hot.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, omit the sausage.
  • Leftovers can be reheated on the stove with a splash of milk to loosen the sauce.
