  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it turns golden brown.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and brown butter.
  5. Add in the maple syrup, eggs, and vanilla, mixing until combined.
  6. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  7. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
  8. Fold in the chopped pecans.
  9. Drop dough by the tablespoon onto baking sheets.
